Visitor visa

You need to get either a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) if you are from a visa waiver country or a visitor visa (for all others except Australian citizens) if you intend to travel to New Zealand as a visitor. Partners and dependent children under the age of 19 can be included in your visitor visa application.

A visitor visa will enable you to visit friends and family, explore New Zealand, enjoy amateur sports, or take part in adventure activities. You need to show that you are able to support yourself financially while in New Zealand.

While a visitor visa enables you to study for up to three months, it does not permit you to undertake any employment in New Zealand. You may stay in New Zealand for up to 9 months on a visitor visa.
