Residence Visa

This is a point-based system where points can be claimed under three criteria. You may claim 3 to 6 points for New Zealand occupational registration, qualifications, or income. You cannot combine points from these skilled categories. You can claim 1 point each year for skilled work experience, up to a maximum of three points, and combine these with points from one of the skilled criteria. You must have a job or job offer in New Zealand from an accredited employer to apply. In addition, you need to meet the health and character requirements and the English language requirement. This visa enables you to live, work, and study in New Zealand indefinitely. You can include your partner and dependent children aged 24 and under.

You can apply for this visa if you are working for an accredited employer or have a job offer for a role that is in Tier 1 of the Green List, and you meet the requirements specified for that role in the Green List. This visa allows you to live, work, and study in New Zealand indefinitely. You can also include your partner and children aged 24 or younger in your application. To be eligible, you must be 55 years old or younger and meet the English language, health, and character requirements.

If you have worked for 24 months in a Green List Tier 2 occupation, you may be eligible to apply for a resident visa under the Work to Residence Category. To apply, you must be currently working or have a job offer for full-time employment from an accredited employer. Your employment must be either permanent or fixed-term for at least 12 months. Additionally, you must submit sufficient evidence to demonstrate that you meet the Green List role’s requirements. You must be 55 years old or younger and meet health, character, and English language requirements. You can include your partner and dependent children aged 24 or younger in your application.
